Bloomberg Mobile Professional (iOS)
I worked with the Mobile team on User and Interaction Experience (IX) for the mobile suite.
I contributed to redesign audits and efforts for the Login screen, Alerts, Contextual Search integration, and kickstarting the Pattern Library for the iconic Bloomberg Terminal’s mobile suit of products.

2016 Launch
I supported the IX team on the framework level redesign that was released December 2016. This celebrated new launch focussed on our mobile suite of products for diverse user needs, leveraging various devices like apple and android across different device sizes, wearables and tablets.
Bloomberg Terminal's Mobile Suite was a complex and challenging product with specific use cases, power users, and developed heuristics from desktop that I helped translate on to mobile.
I Worked with the wonderful IX team at Bloomberg on their 2016 framework level update for the Bloomberg Terminal’s Mobile Suite, while contracting in-house at Bloomberg’s NYC office (as part of a team from the boutique consultancy Mobients). My main focus was on CX, and how to increase user engagement with our powerful tools. Some of my main contributions were in: Smart Search Optimization; The Terminal is a powerhouse of data, and there are several smart search algorithms I helped leverage from desktop to Mobile. Personalization & Customization; Giving users the ability to set up their mobile suite based on their most used applications from Bloomberg Terminal Desktop to Mobile encouraged mobile adoption. Leveraging Tablet's Screen Real Estate; Care and attention was given to using the natural affordances of various devices and building specific use cases for the mobile suite. Aside from leveraging the powerful portability of mobile devices to support user needs, we reworked our tablet devices to allow multiple applications and diverse data points to be accessible in one place.
core domains of contribution
User Experience Research
Bloomberg Mobile Professional has been one of the pioneering fintech players in the mobile sphere, but improving a product of this scope requires constant investigation into the best new designs and usability patterns. I did several audits of competitive products while exploring innovative UX solutions.Interaction Experience
Worked primarily on redesigning the Login experience, improving the Alerts flow, and integrating the new Search optimization using smart search algorithms from the Bloomberg Terminal to the mobile suit. Additionally, I also contributed to the improvement of the Landing page, workshopped accessibility for WCAG2 compliancy, and the development of data visualization tools specific to mobile interaction.Pattern Library
Keeping up with the ever evolving mobile ecosystem requires rigorous documentation of the most resilient usability patterns. I was one of the core team members working on setting up a format for this library, auditing the mobile suit and documenting models of use flows for different platforms and devices. I also created archive templates for the continued documentation of interface and usability patterns.Usability Testing
I worked with Bloomberg's in-house UX Research Lab to test the new heuristic patterns for product-wide interface update with key users. This involved observing users in the Lab testing the new usability schema, conducting in-depth interviews with users, and processing the information into usable takeaways for the design team.Since this project is under NDA's, please contact me for more details.
